Don't know where to watch Star Wars? Take my advice!

Which is the best way to watch the Star Wars movies? In a movie theatre, at home on
your television, or on a laptop/tablet.

There are pros and cons to each of these viewing experiences, of course. But, one of these
options is most optimal for truly being able to understand the Star Wars narrative and story arc in
a way that is also comfortable. Let’s talk about the movie theatre first. Movie theatres are by far
the most exquisite experience in which fans are able to watch the Star Wars films, but this does
not mean that this is the best way to watch these movies. The acoustics inside the theatre may be
next-level, and the screen may be the biggest you’ve ever seen, but this does not meet the full
requirements for a viewing experience in which one is able to dissect the complex intricacies of
the Star Wars films. Movie theatres are often filled with distractions. Perhaps, the person sitting
next to you is eating their popcorn too loudly, or the person in front of you happens to answer a
phone call. These distractions are the main reason as to why a movie theatre is not the most
optimal way to watch these films.

Secondly, let’s take a look at how watching the Star Wars films in your own home might
compare to watching it in a movie theatre. When you’re watching these films at home, it can be
almost more comfortable than a movie theatre. You can make all the noise you want, lay on your
couch, etc. This element of freedom is the reason why I believe that the best viewing experience
for these films takes place in your home. In order to fully grasp and come to terms with the films,
one might have to pause the movie to reflect, or rewind the movie to rewatch something for
clarification. Watching these films at home gives the viewer so much more freedom than
watching it in a movie theatre, and that is why I believe that watching these movies at home is
the optimal viewing experience.

Finally, I’ve heard some people say “why can’t I just watch these on my laptop or
tablet?”. I would consider a laptop or a tablet to be considered “home viewing”, but I do not
advise practicing this. Tablets and laptops are much smaller than average-sized televisions, so
one’s viewing experience will not be as great if they watch these films on a smaller screen. When
it comes down to it, a lot of these options come down to preference. If you don’t really care
about the size of the screen, then the laptop or tablet might be the best choice for you. If you
want a full cinematic experience, however, you should stick with the television in your living
room.

I hope you take my recommendation into consideration.
