Welcome Star Wars fans and literary enthusiasts! Star Wars is one of the most beloved film franchises the world has ever seen. Its canon is diverse and multifaceted, for it has cemented itself in the popular culture of the 21st century world. Even though the films have come to an end, the Star Wars canon continues to expand through TV series such as "The Mandalorian" and the upcoming "Kenobi" series. People just can't seem to get enough of this franchise.

However, taking a step back and refusing to give into the hype that Star Wars seems to overtly protrude is a great way to weigh the true efficacy of this franchise. Just because it seems to work well in an environment dominated by the constant consumption of material does not mean that its contents are structurally sound or cohesive. By looking at classic literary techniques as portrayed in classic literature, we can get down to the question of whether or not the Star Wars canon works well.

In this blog, I wish to spark a discussion among Star Wars fanatics and literature enthusiasts alike. Juxtaposing this filmic approach against a literary approach can help to bridge differing opinions and help to expand the understanding of the Star Wars universe.
